What is a TM44 Inspection?

Who needs a TM44 Inspection?

Any building with an air-conditioning system over 12 kW total cooling capacity must have a TM44 inspection every five years. Systems used solely for process cooling are exempt from this legal requirement.

What is the current legislation for TM44?

TM44 inspections are required under the Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections) Regulations 2007. The person controlling the system is responsible for ensuring inspections are carried out on schedule.

What are the penalties for non-compliance?
